Intra- Oral Camera
Optimal patient communication and education is ensured with the use of this tiny camera which allows you to see that wisdom tooth coming through or that small chip in a back tooth. Kids enjoy seeing their teeth "on TV" and counting how many teeth they have.
3-D Digital Xray
This has revolutionised dentistry in that as soon as the x-ray is taken it is up on the computer monitor ready for viewing, and all at a fraction of the radiation compared with conventional film x-ray. There are 3 types of views we use: OPG or panoramic shows all the teeth and associated structures and is useful for wisdom teeth, checking the growth & development of children's teeth and as a general dental screening.
Intra-oral X-rays are used to check for tooth decay under existing fillings and in between back teeth as well as checking the roots of teeth and associated structures. The new 3-D view shows the upper and lower jaws in three dimensions and is invaluable for implant planning as well as in wisdom teeth removal and indeed as a routine check for dental pathology.
